Happy Customer Report

Jim,
Please accept this E-mail endorsement as being totally unsolicited and completely voluntary on my part.
Rodney completed his delivery just over an hour ago and I couldn't wait to send you these comments:
We are delighted beyond words with the thorough job of restoration that Keyboard Exchange International did on my C-2 Hammond Organ. In a day when so many people simply will not do what they promise, it is totally refreshing to deal with someone who does more than they promise. You kept me informed on every stage of progress of the restoration, completed the work sooner that I expected and made the delivery exactly on time. I was able to get some volunteers to help with the unloading and no time was wasted in waiting for the delivery to arrive. I will be more than happy to endorse your work to anyone who may be considering doing business with you. I look forward to the day when we may have a business relationship again.
Thanks Again,
Stanley Strickland!

"I have dealt with a lot of organ players all over the US and all of them have said that if I ever need anything Hammond that the ‘B3 guys on Orlando’ are the people to deal with. That they are fair and reputable and will never give you a bad deal. I have to agree wholeheartedly and you now have someone new singing your praise. Anything that I need, I will get from you in the future. Sincerely Dan"

"Keyboard exchange has the best selection of vintage Hammond organs and Leslie speakers I have ever seen. When I first visited Jim's shop I was like a kid in a candy store. Jim, the owner, gave me the opportunity to play any organ in the showroom and even let me dig through his collection in the adjacent warehouse. After several weeks of mixing and matching organs and Leslies, talking with Jim's very knowledgable service technicians, and even getting some personal music lessons, I purchased a mint condition and fully restored A-100 with a matching 147RV leslie speaker with the original finish. Jim personally delivered the beast to my house, set it up, and provided me with a 3 month parts and labor warranty. Keep up the great work Jim, my A-100 is screamin' and your Hammonds ROCK!" COMPLETE RESTORATION SERVICES OFFERD BY KEYBOARD EXCHANGE INTERNATIONAL
|
Posted by Jim on Friday, April 2 2004
If you already own a B3 or C3 (or A-100) but it is not sounding or looking like you know it could and should, let us restore it for you! The complete potential of your vintage, tonewheel Hammond may be compromised by old capacitors, improper adjustments, weak tubes, mis-matched components, improper wiring, old age or combination of these factors.
These fine instruments are between 29 and 49 years old now and almost all of them, even the cleanest condition ones need some TLC and attention.
It is my personal belief that a properly maintained and restored B3 or C3 can last several life times, possibly even hundreds of years with proper care. “Why is that,” you may ask? My belief is based on the fact that these instruments were “over engineered” in a time before the term “planned obsolesce” was invented. AND, so many people love these instruments, that dozens of small companies and technicians worldwide are stocking or even building after market replacement parts and are learning to rebuild components as needed.
Let us restore your existing instrument, OR trade in what you have and select from our existing inventory of over 100 instrument and possibilities! Every conceivable option is available including touch sensitive MIDI installed on a vintage, tone wheel organ. We offer custom furniture finishes AND we can convert you’re A-100 or C3 to B3 style in one of our NEW B3 custom cabinets!

Dear Jim, Just a note to let you know how much I am enjoying my B3 and Leslie from Keyboard Exchange International. I have to admit that I was a bit wary about purchasing them sight unseen, but our conversations along with the pictures and video you sent helped set my mind at ease. Even so, I was not prepared for the outstanding quality of the instrument when it arrived. Your technicians did an excellent job restoring the electronics as well as installing the Trek II String Bass and Reverberation units. Rodney and your father did remarkable work detailing the cabinet and keyboards, not to mention the delivery and setup. The result was an absolutely superb instrument that plays and sounds as good as it looks. I could not be more pleased.
In closing, please rest assured that your knowledge, patience and craftsmanship do not go unnoticed, and are greatly appreciated. It has been a pleasure doing business with such a fine group people as yourselves.
Sincerely, Stephen M Texas

Original B3 in Box - Unboxed
|
Posted by Jim on Tuesday, February 3 2004
You may have noticed our "new" B3 that was still in the box from 1974 shown on our picture gallery. In December of 2003 we unboxed this rare collector item B3 to inspect, and service. After servicing and testing the organ, it was found to be in perfect playing condition! It is beautiful and currently being "tested" in the home of the President of Keyboard Exchange International.
The organ will be played from time to time for testing purposes and for enjoyment until a new home can be found for it. Anyone wanting the ultimate MINT condition B3 is invited to contact Jim Huss at Keyboard Exchange International. Trade ins gladly considered.
A video tape of the organ being removed from the original box was made while the staff of KEI watched in amazement. This video will be kept with the organ for historical documentation.
Our goal in our restoration process of other vintage Hammonds, is to have them be as close to original like new condition as possible. It was very useful to actually see a "new" 1974 B3 right out of the box, to remember exactly how a new instrument looks and feels. We have since changed the tension of our bass pedal adjustments to a lighter "factory" setting.
Our goal remains to restore, Hammond B3 and C3 organs for our customers to the highest possible standards. Keyboard Exchange International can restore your B3/C3 or provide one from our inventory. Nationwide and worldwide delivery is available.
